ITINERARY

We’re off to Egypt to see the Pyramids, palaces, tombs and temples. I booked the holiday with Memphis Tours who were very happy to mould the holiday to my specifications. After a bit of toing and froing with the very patient Tour Consultant Mohamed, we agreed the following itinerary:

Day 1:Arrival Cairo 09th Sep. 2018
Welcome to Cairo, Egypt (Around The Clock)
Your tour manager will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport (Arrival procedures) and then he will escort you to the hotel by exclusive air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At hotel the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour. Overnight in Cairo.
Welcome Drink

Day 2:Pyramids / Sakkara 10th Sep. 2018
After breakfast you will be accompanied by your personal guide to Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus – Famous Sphinx and Valley temple facing the great statue. Additional visit to the Solar Boat in front of Cheops Pyramid (extra ticket on spot). Lunch will be served in a good quality restaurant, and then proceed to Sakkara area to visit Sakkara Complex and first pyramid ever built (Djoser Pyramid). Move to Memphis; Old kingdom’s capital and famous Necropolis. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: El Minya / Amarna Day Tour 11th Sep. 2018
Breakfast at hotel, you are invited to discover Al Menia approximately 4 hours far from Cairo. You will be transfered at 06:00 a.m. by our air-conditioned vehicle from Cairo to Al Menia, then by a motor boat to Tal Al Amarna which was the capital of Akhenaton. After that, visit Bani Hassan where you will see many tombs from the Old Kingdom and Middle kingdom. Back to Cairo – Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4:Cairo Sightseeing / Train to Aswan 12th Sep. 2018
Check out after breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then you will be escorted by your private guide to visit: Egyptian Museum, Treasures room for the child king Tutankhamen, alongside many other fascinating artifacts. Additional visit to the mummies room at the museum (extra ticket on spot) Lunch through out the tour at local restaurant, then moving to visit Saladin Citadel including Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque inside. Continue to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Continue driving to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Later, you will be transferred to Giza railway station to board the sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board Рovernight inside your compartment.

Day 5: Arrival Aswan / Aswan Sightseeing 13th Sep. 2018
You will be met at Aswan station, then enjoy visiting the world famous High Dam, The awesome Philae temple, which is devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor, and the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt, the Unfinished Obelisk. Transfer to hotel & overnight in Aswan.

Day 6: Abu Simbel Tour 14th Sep. 2018
Breakfast at your hotel in Aswan. start your trip to Abu Simbel Temples. It takes about a 3 hour and half drive one way from Aswan to Abu Simbel by a private air-conditioned vehicle. Upon arrival at Abu Simbel, enjoy the impressive Temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel, which is dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Harakhte, Amun-Re, and to Ramesses II. Drive back to Aswan then Then transfer to embark your Nile River Cruise before Lunch, Dinner on board and overnight in Aswan.

Day 7:Kom Ombo / Edfu 15th Sep. 2018
Sail to Kom Ombo, have breakfast on board and Visit the Temple shared by two gods Sobek and Haeroris in Kom Ombo. Sail to Edfu, lunch on board after that Visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, Horus Temple in Edfu. Take afternoon tea during sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 8:Luxor East Bank / Hurghada 16th Sep. 2018
Sail to Luxor, have breakfast on board then transfer to visit Karnak and Luxor temples. Lunch on board. Enjoy afternoon tea during sailing. Dinner on board Overnight in Luxor.

Day 9:Luxor West Bank 17th Sep. 2018
Breakfast on board, Disembark from your Nile cruise after breakfast then Visit the West Bank, take an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, Valley of the Kings, then to mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut approximately in the 15th century BC, at El-Deir El-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon transfer to Hurghada on the Red Sea. From Luxor to Hurghada is about a 03 hour and half drive. Overnight in Hurghada.

Day 10:Hurghada Vacation 18th Sep. 2018
Optional tours to experience the exquisite diving and snorkeling among the Red Sea coral reefs and see some amazing rare fish. Or choose one of the many other activities such as windsurfing, sailing and deep-sea fishing. Overnight in Hurghada.

Day 11:Hurghada Vacation 19th Sep. 2018
Optional tours to experience the exquisite diving and snorkeling among the Red Sea coral reefs and see some amazing rare fish. Or choose one of the many other activities such as windsurfing, sailing and deep-sea fishing. Overnight in Hurghada.

Day 12:Back to Cairo 20th Sep. 2018
Breakfast at your hotel in Hurghada with free time at leisure and then you will be transferred to bus station to take the first class coach to Cairo (About 6 hours drive), upon arrival in Cairo you will be met and assisted, then transferred to your hotel for free time at leisure and overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 13:Final Departure 21st Sep. 2018
Breakfast at the hotel in Cairo – free time before your flight – check out and then transferred to Cairo International Airport for final departure.
